Hello everyone! Your child is enrolled in Essay Writing I. This course will provide you with access to homework assignments, study materials, and more.
Your child will have access to one assignment at a time. The assignment names contain the due date information. I’ll be grading on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. That means that I’m grading three days per week; however, your child will only have one assignment packet due each week. This gives your child time to catch up if they’re falling behind; however, please note that keeping up-to-date on homework is ideal to ensure your child gets the most out of each class!
Assignments will not be graded ahead of their due date. For example, if you submit homework due on 9/18/2021 on 9/15/2021, it will not be graded until the earliest grading date on or after the date the assignment is due. You will not be able to access the next assignment until homework is graded.
You will receive an automated e-mail when your child’s homework has been graded and approved. This means that you have access to the next assignment. These e-mails come from WordPress; please check to make sure they’re not going to a spam folder.
Grading: 10 Points will be deducted for every week late. An additional 10 points will be deducted for each time an assignment is sent back because it is simply incomplete (i.e. Did not do all the assignments, skipped activities, failed to write in complete sentences, etc). This is a writing course. There’s NO reason to simply write “I don’t know” on anything. You can ALWAYS give it a TRY. A grade of “0” will be input for any assignments that are past-due and have not yet been submitted. The grade will be changed when the assignment has been submitted.
